National

A ridge and a trough bring warm and unsettled conditions to southern Queensland. The trough will move slowly east and north, reaching the southern coast on Friday. A high will move into the Great Australian Bight, bringing cooler winds along the southern coast. The ridge will push the trough back over western Queensland and increase moisture along the east coast, causing more showers and thunderstorms next week.

State

An unstable weather system will move across Queensland, bringing warm conditions in the south. A high pressure system will move in later and bring cooler winds along the coast. The trough will then move back over western Queensland, bringing increased moisture and more rain.
