National Synoptic Situation

Well, it seems like an invisible force is pushing a ridge over most of the state, thanks to a high in the Great Australian Bight. Meanwhile, a trough is just hanging out in the interior, not really sure what to do with itself. Another trough might decide to take a leisurely stroll eastwards across the south of the state on Thursday and Friday. It's expected to make a quick getaway offshore by Friday and into Saturday. Just another thrilling episode in the saga of weather patterns in our fine state.

Wednesday, 30th October

Watch out, folks, because the risk of wildfires is high in the northern interior and Central Coast. It's like Mother Nature is playing with matches in those areas. So, be cautious and avoid doing anything that could spark a fire. Stay safe out there!

Thursday, 31st October

Hold onto your hats, folks! We've got some isolated showers and thunderstorms making their way through central and southeast Queensland, just south of Moranbah and east of Longreach to Goondiwindi. There's even a chance of some severe thunderstorms down in the far southeast, especially around the Border Ranges. Up in the northwest, north of Richmond, we might see some thunderstorms popping up, mainly in the western Gulf Country and Torres Strait. But fear not, the rest of the region will be basking in mostly sunny conditions. Temperatures will be soaring above average across the board, with some areas in the south reaching well above average. It's so hot in parts of the Peninsula district, we're officially calling it a heatwave. Stay cool out there, folks!

Friday, 1st November

Looks like Mother Nature decided to mix things up a bit in central and southeast Queensland with some isolated showers and thunderstorms. Don't forget your umbrella, or better yet, a lightning rod just in case things get a little severe south of Bundaberg. For those in the northern interior, Gulf Country, and western Peninsula, there's a chance of thunderstorms and isolated showers. But fear not, the rest of the state will be mostly sunny. Looks like Mother Nature is playing favorites again. As for temperatures, they'll be above average for the most part, except for the Gulf Country where things will be a bit more chill. Central and southern parts of the state, on the other hand, can expect temperatures to be well above average. So get ready to sweat it out, folks. Mother Nature has a sense of humor, after all.

Saturday, 2nd November

Prepare yourselves for a delightful mix of isolated showers and thunderstorms in central and southeast Queensland, with a possibility of them getting a bit scattered at times. And hey, why not spice things up with some potentially severe storms south of Rockhampton? Over in the north, the interior, Gulf Country, and western Peninsula might just get a taste of thunderstorms and isolated showers. But fear not, for the rest of us will bask in mostly sunny skies. And let's not forget about those above-average maximum temperatures, especially in the west and south where things might get a tad toasty. So grab your sunscreen and your umbrella, and get ready for a day of weather that's anything but average.
