National Synoptic Situation
Synoptic Situation for
QLD:
Watch out for the strengthening ridge along the east coast, as a high pressure system takes a leisurely stroll into the Tasman Sea. A trough is also making an appearance, stretching all the way from northwestern Queensland to the southeast. But fear not, for this trough will soon be pushed westwards by the building ridge. However, don't let your guard down just yet. This trough is set to make its grand entrance across central and southern Queensland early next week, before gracefully exiting stage right on Tuesday. As if that wasn't enough excitement, a new ridge will be making its debut along the east coast in the aftermath of the trough. This ridge will team up with an approaching upper trough to bring some much-needed rainfall to the east Queensland coast from mid to late next week. So, in summary, keep an eye out for storms and heatwaves in the coming days and remember to stay safe out there, folks!
NSW and ACT:
Well, it seems like Mother Nature is up to her usual shenanigans again. A ridge is forming along the coast as a high pressure system decides to take a vacation down in the Tasman Sea. Meanwhile, a trough is making its way down from Queensland into the northern inland of New South Wales. So, brace yourselves for some northerly winds picking up over the weekend, bringing with them some scorching heat. But don't get too comfortable because wet conditions are expected to roll in on Sunday and Monday as a cold front sweeps across the state. But fear not, for after the storm comes the calm. By Tuesday, we should see some more stable weather as a ridge stretches across the south and east in the aftermath of the front. Remember to stay safe out there and keep an eye out for any extreme weather conditions. Mother Nature can be quite the prankster, so it's always best to be prepared.
VIC:
Well, it seems like we've got some exciting weather coming our way. A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is on the move, bringing warm northerly winds along with it. But hold on to your hats, because a trough and cold front are hot on its heels from the west. The front is expected to make its grand entrance in the far west of the State on Saturday before sweeping through central Victoria on Sunday morning and eastern districts in the afternoon. Brace yourself for a fresh west to southwesterly airstream following the front, which will finally ease on Monday and shift to a southwesterly direction. As if that wasn't enough drama, a high south of the Bight will extend a ridge over southern Victoria, keeping things interesting on Tuesday. So, keep an eye out for any stormy surprises and make sure to stay safe in the midst of all this weather excitement.
SA:
Prepare yourselves, South Australians, for a delightful mix of scorching heat and stormy weather this weekend! A high pressure system is set to bring a hot northerly flow over our state on Saturday, followed by a cold front and trough making their way across the west and south on Saturday and the rest on Sunday. But fear not, for another high pressure system will swoop in early next week to bring some relief before eventually moving east towards Tasmania by next Friday. Remember to stay safe and stay hydrated during these tumultuous times!
WA:
Well, it seems like the Pilbara will be getting cozy with a north-south trough this weekend, while the Kimberley will be playing host to another trough making its way southeast on Friday. So, brace yourselves for some stormy times ahead. Remember to stay safe and hydrated during any heatwaves that may come your way!
TAS:
Well, it seems like we've got a high pressure system hanging out east of Tasmania, bringing in some warm northerly winds that are just dying to show off their strength on Saturday. But hold onto your hats, folks, because an approaching cold front is set to crash the party on Sunday. And don't you worry, this cold front isn't coming alone - it's bringing along an associated low that will be passing just south of Tasmania in the evening. But fear not, because a high pressure ridge will come to the rescue on Monday, moving in from the west before taking over the state on Tuesday. So, while we navigate through these stormy winds and heatwaves, remember to stay safe out there and keep a close eye on the ever-changing weather conditions.
NT:
Hold onto your hats, because it looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody this weekend. A trough over the Barkly is expected to weaken, but not before causing some showers and thunderstorms in southern districts. And just when you thought it was safe to go outside, another trough is set to move across the south, bringing even more stormy weather. But wait, there's more! A southeasterly surge will develop on Sunday, just to keep things interesting. So, if you're planning on venturing out, make sure to stay safe and keep an eye on the forecast. After all, it's better to be prepared than caught in a heatwave without sunscreen.
