National
A front sweeping across southwestern WA is on a mission to deliver gusty winds, showers, and a few storms for good measure. Meanwhile, moist southeast winds are busy spreading showers and storms from the northern NSW and QLD coasts further inland, making sure everyone gets in on the action. Over in western TAS, onshore winds are bringing their own shower party to the coast. But don't worry, a broad high is keeping the rest of the country dry and mostly out of the fray—just sit back and enjoy the calm!

National 4 Day Forecast
Windy.com ACCESS 4 Day 2PM Rain and Synoptic
Sunday: The east coast could see some showers, with potential heavy downpours in the northeast depending on how the coastal trough feels. Inland areas might get a sprinkle here and there, but the far west and south are keeping it cool and partly cloudy. Central and northeast Queensland might get a surprise thunderstorm. Expect above-average minimum temps, with daytime temps being a bit of a mix—warm in the west and south, cooler in the east.
Monday: Showers are on the agenda, with a good chance of heavy rain and a few rumbles of thunder in the east, especially south of Townsville, thanks to that coastal trough. Scattered showers will make guest appearances elsewhere, and the temperature's keeping things interesting with above-average warmth statewide.
Tuesday: Showers are scattering themselves across the state, with potential heavy rainfall along the central and southeast coastlines, again due to our friend, the coastal trough. Isolated showers and a few thunderstorms are likely in central and southeast Queensland. Minimum temperatures are above average across the board, with the south feeling extra toasty, while daytime temps play favorites—hot in the west, cool in the east south of Mackay.
Wednesday: Get ready for some showers across the southern, central, and eastern districts, with the possibility of heavier rainfall in southeastern Queensland, courtesy of the coastal trough. Temperatures are sticking to their guns with above-average readings, especially in the south.
State

There's a weak trough hanging out in the state's interior, just chilling for now. But watch out, an upper trough is on the move, heading across the state, and it might just kick up some extra showers along the east coast.
