National - Warnings - 4 Day - State - Min-Max-Rain - Regional Round-Up
National
A weather front is on its way to dump some showers and storms on southwest WA. In the south, an unruly, moisture-laden west wind will whip up gusty showers across SA, VIC, TAS, and NSW. Meanwhile, high pressure is sending onshore showers to the north Queensland coast and blowing dry, hot northerly winds over the interior. So, basically, if you like wet and windy, head south; if you prefer dry heat, head north.

National 4 Day Forecast
Windy.com ACCESS 4 Day 2PM Rain and Synoptic
Saturday: Looking pretty good across the state with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. You might want to carry an umbrella if you're in the North Tropical Coast or Cape York Peninsula coast as there could be a few isolated showers. Keep an eye out for some morning fog in areas south of Mackay. Also, be prepared for some fresh and gusty winds in the Channel Country. Inland areas will see temperatures higher than usual, so it's going to be pretty warm out there!
Sunday: Most parts of the state can expect plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. There might be a few scattered showers in some areas to the east, north of Mackay, and up in northern Cape York Peninsula. Around Cassowary Coast, these showers could get a bit more widespread at times. Look out for fog in the morning if you're in the eastern areas, south of Townsville. Temperatures are going to be much warmer than usual, especially in the inland and southeast parts of the state. In the southwest, it might even feel like record-breaking warmth for August!
Monday: Expect some clouds with scattered showers in parts of southwestern Queensland. You might see a few isolated showers along the North Tropical Coast too. It'll be sunny and warm in most other areas. The temperatures will be really high in the central and southeast regions, a bit cooler in the southwest but still warmer than usual.
Tuesday: It's sunny and warm all over the state, with a few scattered showers up north. Towards the end of the week, things might get a bit breezy in southeast Queensland. Temperatures are high in the middle and southeast, a bit cooler in the southwest, but still warmer than usual.
State
Windy.com ACCESS (Values are rainfall over 3 hours)
A happy high pressure system will make its way into the Tasman Sea and spread a cozy ridge over the state. As the weekend rolls in, the high will float eastward, keeping that ridge over Queensland nice and snug. By Monday, a trough from central Australia will sweep into western Queensland, bringing in some warm northerly winds. And looking ahead to next week, a few more troughs will saunter east across southern Queensland, keeping things toasty and pleasant.
