An upper trough and rain band moving off the Queensland coast tonight will bring cool southerly winds. A high pressure system will extend this pattern, leading to increased rainfall on the north tropical coast later in the week. Another trough will bring showers to the southwest on Friday, moving eastwards over the weekend into early next week.
