National

Tropical moisture will stream into western Queensland, the eastern Northern Territory, northwestern New South Wales, and South Australia, bringing heavy rain and storms. Onshore flow around a high-pressure ridge will cause showers in eastern New South Wales and Queensland. A strong high-pressure system will keep Victoria, Tasmania, and most of New South Wales dry, with a cold morning.

  • Friday: Eastern Australia: Showers on the east coast, becoming widespread in the north. Inland areas have isolated showers. Northwest is mostly sunny, elsewhere partly cloudy. Winds are light to moderate from east to southeast, stronger on the east coast. Winds shift to south-southeast in the far west and Southeast Coast District.

  • Saturday: Spotty showers on the east coast, increasing to widespread at times on the North Tropical Coast and Sunshine Coast. Showers and patchy rain in the west, chance of a thunderstorm in far southwest. Moderate falls likely in southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Temps below average in far southwest, near average elsewhere. Above average minimum temps overall.

  • Sunday: Showers spreading east with possible storms, moderate falls in southwest. Temperatures near average.

  • Monday: Mainly sunny in the west, with isolated showers. Rain and possible thunderstorms in the south. Temps varying across regions.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Max temperature: 24°C, Min temperature: 13°C, Wind speed: 25-35 km/h southeasterly, Wind direction: Southeasterly, Rainfall: High chance of showers along coastal fringe, Other: Cloudy with slight chance of showers.

Peninsula:

The weather will have a maximum temperature of around 30°C, minimum temperature between 17 and 21°C, easterly winds at 25-35 km/h, slight chance of a shower near the east coast, near zero chance elsewhere, and partly cloudy conditions.

Gulf Country:

Max temperature: 33°C, Min temperature: 13°C, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h, Wind direction: Easterly, Rainfall: Mostly sunny.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Max temperature: 30°C, Min temperature: 11°C, Wind speed: 25-40 km/h easterly, Wind direction: East, Rainfall: Slight chance of a shower in the southeast, near zero chance elsewhere, Other: Partly cloudy. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15°C.

The weather forecast includes maximum temperatures of 21 to 26 with minimum temperatures between 9 and 13, easterly winds at 25 to 40 km/h, slight chance of a shower in the southwest, near zero chance of rain elsewhere, and "Partly cloudy" conditions.

North West:

Max temperature: 29°C, Min temperature: 8°C, Wind speed: 25-35 km/h, Wind direction: Southeasterly turning easterly, Rainfall: Showers likely, Other: Partly cloudy with thunderstorm risk in the south of Mt Isa.
