A high in the Great Australian Bight brings cool, dry air, moving slowly east with onshore winds by Tuesday. It will be near Tasmania by Friday, with a chance of moisture drawn inland by a weak trough in western Queensland next weekend.

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

The weather forecast is partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers along the coastal fringe in the evening, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 27 degrees Celsius, and winds east to southeasterly at 25 to 35 km/h.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Max temperature: 28°C, Min temperature: 9°C, Wind speed: Light, Wind direction: Southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Weather: Mostly sunny.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Mostly sunny with maximum temperatures in the low to high 20s, minimum temperatures between 9 and 14, wind speeds initially south to southeasterly at 15 to 25 km/h turning east to southeasterly, then becoming light in the evening.

Peninsula:

Max temperature: 30°C, Min temperature: 13°C, Wind: Southeasterly 15-20 km/h tending east to southeasterly 25-35 km/h, Rainfall: None, Condition: Mostly sunny.

Gulf Country:

The maximum temperature will reach around 30, with minimum temperatures falling to between 11 and 15, southeasterly winds at 25 to 35 km/h with no rainfall, and sunny conditions expected.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

North West:

Channel Country:
