A high-pressure system will create a chilly morning and a dry day across much of Tasmania, South Australia, Victoria, inland New South Wales, and central Australia, while directing warm winds towards Western Australia. In the southwest of WA, a cold front will bring showers, and the coasts of Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales will experience showers accompanied by humid and cooling winds, which will gradually ease in Victoria.

  • Friday: Partly cloudy with scattered showers on the east coast, becoming widespread at times near Cardwell. Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds inland, fresh near the coast north of Mackay. Winds in southeast Queensland light to moderate from the south to southeasterly direction.

  • Saturday: Cloudy with scattered showers in east, north, and coastal regions. Sunny in far west and Gulf Country. Winds picking up in the east. Temps near average.

  • Sunday: Mostly cloudy with showers in eastern and inland regions. Showers increasing in some areas, sunny in the far southwest, partly cloudy elsewhere. Fresh to strong winds along the east coast. Max temps slightly above average in the west, min temps slightly below average in central and southern interior.

  • Monday: Partly cloudy with isolated showers in the east and north, scattered in the North Tropical Coast. Partly cloudy in the northwest and interior, mostly sunny elsewhere. Temps slightly below average in the northeast, and a little below average in central and southern areas.

Victoria's high will weaken to a ridge as a new high forms southwest of Tasmania. Winds in Queensland will shift onshore, bringing moisture inland. The new high will move towards the Tasman Sea, maintaining the ridge over Queensland. Unsettled weather is possible in western Queensland from mid next week.

Regional round-up North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

Max temperature reaching 28 with winds ESE 25-35 km/h, partly cloudy with medium chance showers in south and slight elsewhere, min overnight 15-21.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Max temperature: 28°C, Min temperature: 15°C, Wind: Easterly 15 to 25 km/h, Rainfall: High chance of showers in the north, slight chance elsewhere.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Max temperature: 28°C, Min temperature: 14°C, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h easterly to southeasterly, Rainfall: Medium chance of showers, Other: Partly cloudy; showers likely in morning and afternoon; overnight temperatures falling to 14-18°C.

Peninsula:

Max temperature around 30°C, min temperature between 18-23°C, wind speed 20-30 km/h easterly to southeasterly, slight chance of a shower near east coast, partly cloudy with near zero chance elsewhere.

Gulf Country:

Mostly sunny with daytime temperatures reaching low 30s, light winds becoming easterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning, then becoming light in the early afternoon, overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and 19.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

The weather for today includes a max temperature of 31°C, a min of 17°C, easterly winds of 20-30 km/h, potential showers in the southeast, and partly cloudy skies with near-zero chance of rain elsewhere.

Capricornia:

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

The weather will be partly cloudy with light winds becoming easterly at 15-25 km/h in the morning and then becoming light in the evening, with overnight temperatures dropping to 5-14°C and daytime temperatures reaching the low to high 20s.

The weather forecast for tomorrow: Max temperature 29°C, Min temperature 14°C, Wind speeds ranging from light to 30 km/h, Easterly winds, Partly cloudy with overnight temperatures dropping to 10-14°C and daytime temperatures reaching 24-29°C.

North West:

The weather forecast for tomorrow includes a high of 30°C, low of 10-15°C, wind shifting from E to NE at 15-20 km/h, and sunny conditions with light winds.

Maximum temperature: 29°C, Minimum temperature: 10°C, Wind speed: 15-25 km/h, Wind direction: Easterly turning Southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Other: Partly cloudy.

Maranoa and Warrego:

The weather will be mostly sunny with light winds becoming east to northeasterly at 15-20 km/h, then becoming light later in the day, with temperatures ranging from 3 to 9°C overnight and reaching the low to mid 20s during the day, with no rainfall expected.

Darling Downs and Granite Belt:

Wide Bay and Burnett:

Southeast Coast:
