State conditions
QLD:
Well, it seems like we've got a high just chilling in the southern Tasman Sea, holding down the fort over eastern Queensland. Meanwhile, a trough is causing some drama out west and in the southern interior, sticking around for a little while and teaming up with the high to bring some moisture inland. But don't get too comfortable, because the high is planning on making a break for it over the weekend. The trough will also start to lose its steam on Saturday and then retreat to the southwest on Sunday. By Sunday, we'll have a weak pressure gradient hanging around the state. Oh, and keep an eye out for Wednesday - that pesky trough might make a move to the east. So, be sure to stay safe out there, especially with all this talk of storms and heatwaves. Stay cool and stay smart, folks!
NSW and ACT:
Looks like we've got quite the show coming up in the weather department. A trough up north is losing its mojo and moving on, while a low pressure system off the Mid North Coast is just hanging around, not wanting to leave the party. Meanwhile, a high pressure system is sliding into the Tasman Sea and spreading some wet vibes out east. But wait, there's more! A new trough is set to strut its stuff out west and really amp up the heat, humidity, and general chaos over the next few days. So, buckle up and stay safe out there, because it's about to get wild.
VIC:
Well, it seems we have a high pressure system lounging around to the south, extending its ridge over Bass Strait like it's on vacation. Meanwhile, a weak trough is trying to make a name for itself near the South Australian border. The centre of the high is apparently feeling restless and will be making its way east over the Tasman Sea soon. As for the trough, it's just hanging out in eastern South Australia and western Victoria, not in any rush to leave. Oh, and let's not forget about Sunday - that trough is finally going to get moving and make its way east across the State. So, brace yourselves for some stormy weather and maybe even a heatwave or two. Stay safe out there, folks!
SA:
As we move into the weekend, a high pressure system is making its way eastwards from Tasmania, bringing with it a ridge that will dominate the southern regions of SA. Meanwhile, a low pressure trough is lurking in the far west of SA, ready to make its presence known as it moves northeastwards over the next couple of days. But wait, there's more! Another high is gearing up to sweep across the waters to the south, only to settle south of Tasmania early next week. And as if that wasn't enough excitement, a trough is on the horizon, poised to make its way across SA. With all these weather systems colliding, it's important to stay safe and prepared for whatever storms or heatwaves may come our way. Remember to keep cool, stay hydrated, and be cautious when venturing out in the unpredictable weather. Stay safe out there!
WA:
Well, well, well, it seems like we have a lovely little low pressure trough hovering over the northern regions of our state. This could potentially lead to some interesting weather patterns, perhaps even some storms or heatwaves. Remember to stay safe out there, folks.
TAS:
Well, it seems like Tasmania is in for a rollercoaster ride of weather patterns. From a high chillin' to the east, to a trough creeping in from the southwest, things are about to get interesting. And by interesting, I mean hold onto your hats because we might just be in for some stormy action. As the high bids us farewell and the trough takes its sweet time meandering over the state, it's best to stay safe and brace yourself for potential heatwaves and thunderstorms. So, buckle up, folks, and keep an eye on the horizon as we navigate through this weather mayhem.
NT:
Watch out for some intense storms in the north and potential heatwaves in the south as low pressure and troughs team up to wreak havoc. Remember to stay safe and prepared for any wild weather that may come your way.

Temperature and Rainfall Forecast - Access-G

Thursday, 9th January
In the regions of North West, Central West, and Channel Country, it seems that the weather is feeling a bit dramatic. With high temperatures and stormy conditions on the horizon, it might be a good idea to pack an extra bottle of sunscreen and brace yourself for some intense weather patterns. Remember to stay safe and be prepared for any sudden changes in the forecast.
Friday, 10th January
Hold onto your hats, folks, because it's going to be a doozy out there. We've got mostly sunny skies in the southwest, but don't let that fool you - isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are lurking elsewhere. Keep an eye out for possible severe thunderstorms in the northwest and central and southern interior - Mother Nature is feeling feisty today. And if that wasn't enough, we've got maximum temperatures soaring above average in some areas, while others are feeling the chill with below-average temps. If you find yourself in the west or parts of the far north, be prepared for some severe heatwave conditions. Stay safe out there, friends, and remember to keep cool and hydrated. Mother Nature waits for no one, so it's best to be prepared for whatever she throws our way.
Saturday, 11th January
Well, it seems like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today. We've got some sunshine in the southwest, but watch out for those isolated showers and thunderstorms lurking around elsewhere. Don't be surprised if you get caught in some moderate rainfall down in the southeastern quarter of the state. Now, let's talk about those temperatures. It's going to be hotter than usual in the west, central and northern interior, and the far north. So, if you're in those areas, be prepared to sweat it out. On the flip side, it'll be cooler than average in the southeast, so bust out those sweaters if you're down there. And for the rest of us, well, it'll be just about average. Oh, and did I mention the severe heatwave conditions in the west and parts of northern and far northern Queensland? Yeah, you might want to stay indoors with the air conditioning cranked up if you're in those areas. So, stay safe out there, folks, and don't let Mother Nature catch you off guard with her stormy temper or scorching heatwaves.
Sunday, 12th January
Looks like Mother Nature is turning up the heat today! You might want to buckle up and stay cool, folks, because we're in for some scorching temperatures in the west and parts of central, northern, and far northern Queensland. And don't forget about those isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms lurking around elsewhere. Stay safe out there and make sure to keep hydrated. Mother Nature waits for no one!
