National Synoptic Situation
Synoptic Situation for
QLD:
Hold onto your hats, folks! It seems like we're in for some wild weather ahead. A ridge is making its way along the Queensland east coast, while an upper trough is slowly moving northeast over the southern interior. This combination is set to bring some stormy conditions to parts of the tropical east coast in the coming days. With onshore winds from the ridge and the approaching upper trough, we can expect increased rainfall and possibly even a coastal trough forming about the Central Coast. And just when you thought it couldn't get any more exciting, a slow-moving trough may be making its way into western Queensland next week. So, stay safe out there and make sure you're prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way. And remember, it's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to storms and heatwaves.
NSW and ACT:
Looks like the northeast is in for some wet and wild weather, with deep moisture hanging around like a bad smell. But fear not, a high coming in from Tasmania is here to save the day by extending a ridge over NSW and the ACT. As this high moves into the Tasman Sea, it will continue to keep things relatively calm and dry for a few days. However, a sneaky trough and cloud band system may try to stir things up in the far southwest on Sunday, slowly making its way east over the following days. So, if you find yourself in the path of any storms or heatwaves, make sure to stay safe and dry. Mother Nature can be a fickle beast, so it's always best to be prepared for whatever she throws your way.
VIC:
Prepare yourselves for some potentially unpredictable weather patterns in the coming days, as a high pressure system near Tasmania shifts towards the southern Tasman Sea. This movement will bring warmer northerly winds to Victoria, creating a mix of heat and potential stormy conditions. By Friday, this pattern will persist before a low pressure trough makes its way into the western part of the state on Saturday, gradually moving across western and central Victoria on Sunday. Stay safe and be prepared for any sudden changes in the weather, whether it be scorching heatwaves or stormy conditions.
SA:
Well, looks like we've got a real rollercoaster of weather coming our way. From high pressure systems to low pressure troughs, it's going to be quite the show. Keep an eye out for stormy conditions as that low pressure trough makes its way across South Australia. And don't forget about the heatwaves that can come along with these systems - stay cool and hydrated to stay safe. Remember, it's all just Mother Nature doing her thing, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!
WA:
Well isn't that just peachy - looks like we've got a delightful low pressure situation hanging over the Pilbara, Kimberley, and North Interior. Just what we all needed, right? Be sure to stay safe out there, folks, because you never know what kind of stormy shenanigans Mother Nature might have up her sleeve.
TAS:
Get ready to bask in the glory of a high pressure system as it glides over Tasmania like a majestic swan, bringing warmth and sunshine to our little island. But don't get too comfortable, as a weak trough will try to rain on our parade later in the weekend. Remember folks, with great weather comes great responsibility. Stay safe in the heat and be prepared for any stormy surprises that Mother Nature may have in store for us.
NT:
Prepare for some stormy weather up north as humid easterly winds blow in, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms. Down south, dry winds from the northeast to southeast are keeping things relatively calm for now, but that's all set to change as a trough makes its way over from the west by the end of the week. So, stay safe out there and remember to keep an eye out for any heatwaves or storm warnings!

Temperature and Rainfall Forecast - Access-G
Thursday, 21st November
Well, it seems that southwestern Queensland is going to be a bit toasty today. The fire danger is high, so you may want to avoid playing with matches or doing any impromptu fire dances. It's always best to err on the side of caution when dealing with potential infernos. Stay safe out there, folks!
Friday, 22nd November
Looks like storms are popping up in eastern and northern Queensland, with a chance of thunderstorms north of Rockhampton. Showers will be scattered along the east coast, so be prepared for some wet weather. It's a bit cloudy in the southwest, but don't worry, the sun will make an appearance eventually. Temperatures are a bit all over the place - below average in some areas, well below average in the southeast, and slightly above average in the northwest Peninsula with some heatwave conditions. Stay safe out there, folks, and make sure to stay hydrated during this unpredictable weather.
Saturday, 23rd November
Well, it seems like Queensland is having a bit of a split personality today. Showers are playing hide and seek in the east and north, while the west and southern interior are soaking up the sun like it's going out of style. Keep an eye out for those sneaky thunderstorms up north, they can be quite the party crashers. And don't be fooled by the slightly below average temperatures, the southwest is sneaking in some above average heat - classic Queensland move. So, stay safe out there, folks, and don't let the wild weather catch you off guard.
Sunday, 24th November
Well, looks like some areas in Queensland are in for a treat with isolated to scattered showers. Just a little sprinkle here and there, nothing too dramatic. But watch out, things might get a bit wild up north near Townsville with showers becoming more widespread. And don't forget about those possible thunderstorms out west - Mother Nature sure knows how to put on a show! Meanwhile, the southern and central interior are just chilling with some partly cloudy skies. Maximum temperatures are hanging around the average mark, but down in the southwest, things are heating up above average. So, stay cool, stay dry, and most importantly, stay safe out there in the wild world of Queensland weather.
