Queensland Synoptic

In Queensland, a trough is finally leaving the east coast, bringing a ridge that will stick around for a while in the east and a weak trough that will loiter in the north, while a new trough will slowly make its way westward and possibly leave the state by the end of the week as a high settles in the Tasman Sea.

Forecast for Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Looks like we've got some clouds playing hide and seek today, with a decent shot at some showers popping up in the late morning and afternoon. There's even a chance for a little thunderstorm action! The winds will be light, doing a little dance from east to light in the evening. Overnight, things will cool down to the low to mid 20s, but don't get too comfy because daytime temps will be climbing up to the low 30s. So grab your umbrella and maybe a lightning rod, and get ready for a day of weather shenanigans!
