Queensland Synoptic
Eastern Queensland is experiencing a firm ridge that will stick around for a while, enhancing winds and showers along the east coast. A trough in the far northern Coral Sea is teaming up with the ridge to bring more weather action to the northern Peninsula and Torres Strait. Don't worry, a tropical low in the northern Coral Sea is expected to stay well away from the Queensland coast this weekend, slowly moving eastwards and possibly developing further next week. Keep an eye out for a trough possibly making its way into the far southwest of the state late next week.

Alrighty, grab your umbrellas - we've got a medium chance of showers coming our way, especially in the afternoon and evening. And hey, don't be surprised if we get a little thunderstorm action in the late morning! Light winds will be shifting around, starting off southerly and then switching to southeasterly. Overnight, we'll be cooling down to the low 20s, but during the day, expect those temperatures to climb up into the low to mid 30s. So, keep your sunscreen handy and stay hydrated, folks!

Monsoon Special:
The next monsoon pulse due in Phase 6 (Gulf to Coral Sea) around the 26th March to 2nd April. Due to the 3rd pulse normally being weak, it tends to come around quicker so could be a week earlier.
The 28th is still the most consistent date for the models to agree, then March 1st things seem to go out of whack a little but there is some suggestion the High will carry the low towards the coast like a conveyor belt, but the next day is so far out of whack there is no point as there is no chance of seeing what is likely. This could swing further North more, or it could head South but at this stage between Bundy and Mackay need to be preparing.
