Coastal showers will sweep across the southern and eastern shores of Australia, as well as western Tasmania, driven by onshore winds from a vast high-pressure system. Meanwhile, the interior, southern, and western regions of Western Australia will experience showers and storms. Elsewhere, dry and calm conditions will prevail under the influence of high pressure.

High southwest of Australia, ridge extends, low Tasman Sea brings cooler air to QLD. Weak tropical low in Coral Sea may deepen briefly then weaken. High moves east, brings ridge, weak trough next week.

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

Max temperature: 30°C, Min temperature: 16°C, Wind: East to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h, Rainfall: Slight chance of shower near coast, mostly sunny.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

The weather will be sunny with light winds, with overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and 19, daytime temperatures reaching around 30, maximum temperature with minimal wind speed and direction, and no rainfall expected.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather for the day will have daytime temperatures reaching from 26 to 31 degrees, with overnight temperatures falling to between 12 and 16 degrees, winds initially from the south at 15 to 20 km/h, becoming east to southeasterly in the middle of the day, and light in the evening, and a prediction of "Sunny" conditions with no forecasted rainfall.

Peninsula:

Maximum temperature: low 30s, Minimum temperature: low to mid 20s, Wind speed: light winds becoming easterly 15 to 25 km/h, Wind direction: easterly, Rainfall: slight chance, Weather: Partly cloudy with medium chance of showers north of Weipa, slight chance elsewhere and a chance of a thunderstorm.

Gulf Country:

Max temperature: low to mid 30s, Min temperature: 18-23, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h becoming light, Wind direction: south to southeasterly, Rainfall: Sunny, Other: Overnight temperatures falling.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

The maximum temperature will be around 30°C with minimum temperatures falling to between 13-19°C, winds from the east to southeasterly at 20-30 km/h and sunny conditions expected with no rainfall.

Capricornia:

Max temperature: mid to high 20s, Min temperature: 10-15, Wind speed: Light, Wind direction: Not specified, Rainfall: None, Other: Sunny with temperatures gradually dropping overnight.

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

Maximum temperature: 30°C, Minimum temperature: 8°C, Wind speed: Light becoming 15-20 km/h, Wind direction: South to southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Weather: Sunny.

Central West:

Max temperature around 30, minimum temperature between 10 and 13, wind speed variable becoming light, wind direction southeasterly, slight chance of rainfall, and sunny conditions.

North West:

Maximum temperature around 30, minimum temperature between 12 and 17, southeasterly winds at 20-30 km/h, sunny with no rainfall.

Channel Country:

Max temperature: mid to high 20s, Min temperature: around 12, Wind speed: southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h, Wind direction: southeasterly, Rainfall: 0mm, Other: Sunny.

Maranoa and Warrego:

Sunny with light winds in the morning becoming south to southeasterly 15-20 km/h, min 8-11°C, max low to mid 20s, no rainfall.

Darling Downs and Granite Belt:

The forecast includes daytime temperatures reaching the mid 20s, overnight temperatures around 9, light winds, and sunny conditions with no rainfall expected.

Wide Bay and Burnett:

The weather will be warm with mostly sunny conditions, light winds, and near zero chance of rain, with overnight temperatures between 9-14°C and daytime temperatures in the mid to high 20s°C.

Southeast Coast:

Maximum temperature in the mid to high 20s, minimum temperature between 11 and 15, light winds, sunny conditions with overnight temperatures dropping and no rain expected.
