Humid and unstable easterly winds are bringing showers and storms to northern QLD and the NT, while inland southern WA experiences patchy rain amidst similar conditions. Coastal regions of NSW, QLD, and western TAS may also see showers driven by onshore winds. Elsewhere, high pressure is expected to keep conditions mostly dry.

  • Monday: Monday: Showers east coast, widespread in north, chance of thunderstorm Peninsula. Partly cloudy inland south QLD, mostly sunny elsewhere. Fresh southeasterly winds, temperatures near average.

  • Tuesday: Isolated to scattered showers on east coast and Cape York. Showers likely on North Tropical Coast and eastern Peninsula, chance of thunderstorms. Some showers or storms in southern interior. Mostly sunny in southwest, partly cloudy elsewhere. Fresh southeasterly winds, temperatures near or above average.

  • Wednesday: Far west and southwest mainly sunny, showers scattered elsewhere. Showers likely in North Tropical Coast, heavy rain possible. Chance of thunderstorm in Cape York Peninsula and inland southeastern Queensland. Temperatures near or above average.

High over southern Australia extends ridge across state, moving into Tasman Sea. Onshore winds along east coast. Weak trough in Coral Sea enhances showers. Another trough in Queensland strengthens midweek, increasing rainfall across eastern districts.

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

The weather forecast includes maximum temperature of 31°C, minimum temperature of 17°C, wind speed from east to southeasterly at 25 to 35 km/h with partly cloudy skies and a medium chance of showers, rainfall unspecified.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

The weather forecast includes a max temperature of around 30, minimum temperature between 17-21, wind speed of 20-30 km/h from the east to southeasterly direction, the possibility of a slight shower in the north with near zero chance elsewhere, and partly cloudy conditions.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Partly cloudy with slight chance of a shower near coastal fringe, mostly clear elsewhere. Max temp 31, min temp 17, wind ESE 20-30 km/h, rainfall near zero.

Peninsula:

The weather forecast includes mostly sunny conditions with a medium chance of showers near Weipa, increasing wind speeds, and temperatures in the low to mid 30s with low 20s overnight.

Gulf Country:

The weather forecast for today includes a maximum temperature in the low to mid 30s, minimum temperature between 17 and 22, wind speed becoming easterly at 15 to 25 km/h in the morning and then light in the evening, no rainfall expected, and other than "Sunny".

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

The weather forecast includes a maximum temperature in the low to mid 30s, minimum temperature between 16 and 19, easterly winds at 20 to 30 km/h, and a possibility of sunny conditions.

Capricornia:

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

Temperature: 30°C (max), 12-17°C (min); Wind: Light becoming easterly 15-25 km/h, then light; Rainfall: None.

Central West:

Max temperature: low to mid 30s, Min temperature: between 14 and 18, Wind speed: light becoming northeasterly 20-30 km/h shifting to easterly 15-25 km/h, Wind direction: northeasterly to easterly, Rainfall: Sunny, Other: Overnight temperatures falling, daytime temperatures reaching low to mid 30s.

North West:

The maximum temperature will reach the low to mid 30s, with morning light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h and then becoming light, overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 18, and the weather will be mainly sunny with no rainfall expected.

Channel Country:

Mostly sunny with temperatures ranging from around 15°C overnight to low to mid 30s during the day, southeasterly winds 15 to 20 km/h, becoming light at midday and shifting to south-southeasterly in the evening, with no rainfall expected.

Maranoa and Warrego:

Mostly sunny with light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning, then becoming light in the middle of the day, with overnight temperatures falling to between 12 and 15, daytime temperatures reaching around 30.

Darling Downs and Granite Belt:

Mostly sunny with morning fog in the far east, light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15-20 km/h, overnight temperatures 12-16°C, daytime temperatures in the mid to high 20s, no rainfall.

Wide Bay and Burnett:

Max temperature in the mid to high 20s, min temperature between 12-17, wind light becoming easterly 15-20 km/h then light, mostly sunny with no rainfall.

Southeast Coast:

Max temperature in the mid to high 20s, min temperature between 13 and 17, light winds, slight chance of shower near southern border ranges, mostly sunny with chance of fog in southwest in the early morning and near zero rainfall.
