Weak ridge over central/northern Queensland with warm, sunny weather; trough moving across southern Queensland, clearing southeast coast on Tuesday, bringing gusts of stronger, dry westerly winds. New high moving across southeastern states, extending ridge over Queensland after trough, followed by southeasterly wind change on Tuesday-Wednesday. Another trough likely moving across state from Thursday, reaching north Queensland on Friday, possibly accompanied by stronger westerly winds in south/southeast Queensland and cooler, drier air in north Queensland next weekend.

New high moves across southeastern states, extending ridge across Queensland. Southeasterly wind change spreads across southeast Queensland on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another trough likely moves across the state from Thursday, accompanied by stronger winds and cooler, dry air.

Wednesday: Wednesday: Dry and mostly sunny, with some showers near the southern Queensland coast. Morning frost in the southern interior. Temperatures will be near average in the southeast, higher than average elsewhere, and significantly above average in the interior. Minimum temperatures will be below average in the north, above average elsewhere, and well above average in the Channel Country.
Thursday: Thursday: Dry and mostly sunny with isolated showers and thunderstorms in southern and southeast Queensland. Morning frost in the southern interior. Above average maximum temperatures, especially inland. Below average minimum temperatures in the north, above average elsewhere, and well above average in the southwest. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds in the southern half, followed by a southwesterly wind change in the southwest. High fire danger in central interior, southern, and southeastern districts.
Friday: Friday's weather will be mostly dry with some sun, but there will be a few showers in the southeast. There will be frost in the morning in the southern interior. Winds will be moderate to fresh, coming from the west to southwest and spreading across central, southern, and southeast Queensland. Maximum temperatures will be below average in the Channel Country, above average in most other areas, and well above average in central and southeast Queensland. Minimum temperatures will be below average in the far north and above average elsewhere. There will be a high fire danger in the central interior and southeastern districts.
Saturday: Dry and mostly sunny with a few showers clearing in the southeast on Friday. There will be morning frost in the southern and central interior. Fresh and gusty south to southeasterly winds will occur in western Queensland on Saturday, gradually becoming southwesterly across southeast and central Queensland. Dry and windy conditions will lead to a high fire danger in central, southern, and southeast Queensland. As we approach the end of the weekend and the beginning of next week, the winds will ease and turn more onshore along the east coast, resulting in a decrease in fire danger. Maximum temperatures along the east coast will be above average but will decrease to near average from Sunday. On the other hand, below average maximum temperatures across the interior will increase to above average by Monday. Minimum temperatures will be above average in central and southeast Queensland on Saturday but will tend to be below average in other areas.
