High over southeastern Australia extends ridge across state, weakens as moves east to Tasman Sea on Friday. Weak trough moves over southern Queensland, deepening early next week. New high moves across Tasmania on Sunday, increasing onshore winds over southeast coast as drifts northeast. Upper trough enhances showers in southern Queensland and New South Wales early next week.

The high over southeastern Australia will weaken and move eastwards towards the Tasman Sea on Friday. A weak trough will form over southern Queensland on Friday, deepening early next week. A new high will move across Tasmania on Sunday and increase onshore winds over the southeast coast. An upper trough will cross southern Queensland and New South Wales early next week, enhancing showers in the area.
