Strong high moves from Great Australia Bight to Tasman Sea, maintaining ridge over state. Upper trough joins onshore flow to increase showers in Queensland next week.

Strong high pressure will move across Tasmania and into the Tasman Sea over the weekend, maintaining a ridge over most of the state. An upper trough will cross southern and southeastern Queensland early next week, causing increased showers in the area.
