Storms - Extreme Weather - Fire danger

State

Strong high in Southern Ocean extends ridge over state, strengthening on Wednesday with southeasterly winds moving north along east coast. High slowly moves east, lingers near Tasmania, reaches Tasman Sea by next Tuesday. Weak trough over western Queensland for a few days, deepening on Friday and moving east over the weekend. New ridge builds over state after trough.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Capricornia:
