National

High pressure over north Tasman Sea will merge with another high over southeastern Australia, forming a firm ridge in most of Queensland. West trough causing shower activity will weaken and drift eastwards, while another trough may move eastwards and reach South East Queensland on Friday.

State

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will strengthen and extend a ridge over Queensland, while a trough in the west will bring showers and thunderstorms before moving east. Another trough may move across the south of the state later in the week, possibly reaching South East Queensland.
