Queensland Synoptic
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred is on its last legs as it trudges through the southeastern interior, eventually fizzling out into a trough in northern New South Wales by Monday morning - better make sure you've got your umbrella handy. Meanwhile, a ridge in eastern Queensland will hang around for a few days, providing some much-needed stability in an otherwise chaotic weather pattern. And in the southwest, a stubborn trough will stick around until mid-week before being unceremoniously shoved west into central Australia by a new high in the Tasman Sea - sounds like a classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Forecast for Herbert and Lower Burdekin:
Looks like we've got a mixed bag of weather today! There's a decent chance of showers, especially in the late morning and afternoon, with a potential thunderstorm thrown in for good measure. The winds will be light, shifting from east to northeasterly throughout the day. Temperatures will range from the low to mid 30s during the day, dropping to the low to mid 20s overnight. So grab your umbrella and sunscreen, and be prepared for whatever the day brings!
